I've done a lot this past year, whether it was tackling something out of my comfort zone and being one of the few girls in a karate class, travelling to places I've only read about, getting over my fear of heights and rockclimbing, being in immense pain from training for a half marathon, or shaking and shrieking from seeing one of my favourite boy bands perform live.
I feel a great sense of pride in the things I've accomplished this year. But what I'm most happy about, and most thankful for, are the people in my life. All of those things I did with, worked on, or received support from the people I loved.
So thank you for making me the person that I am. Thank you for listening to me, for laughing with me, for dancing with me, for fighting with and for me, and for taking care of me. Most of all thank you for loving me.

You are such a beautiful, inspiring person Crystal. I am so glad I met you and I can't wait to continue to get to know you better. I know 2012 holds many wonderful experiences for you and I promise to always encourage you to find them.

there will be a day when we're old and wrinkled and ugly and deaf, blind, and dumb too, and we'll look at each other and not even remember who the other is. We'll look nothing like what we once were, and embittered by lives lived past their due date. And I'll put my hand in yours, not because I want to, but because a glimmer of something will tell me it's what ought to be done, and emotion will come flowing back without memory. Joy and happiness and love and warmth, without a how, without a why. Without "Remember When?"s and "Those were the days!"s. Just the feeling that all is right in the world. That the world rained upon us and still we have this.
